Malvern schools week

Mark has just returned from a great week in Malvern where he has been working with several schools in the area.

He was joined on the team by John Froud (our latest Associate Evangelist), Sara Whittlestone, Mark Drake and Katie Jones.

While preparing his talk to be given at the school assemblies throughout the week Mark was stopped in his tracks twice by God, who clearly told him that what he was preparing wasn't right. After much prayer he felt led to ask the young people two questions.

1. What do you follow and how reliable is it?

2. What are you looking for? - If you don't know, how will you know if you find it.

Mark was thrilled with the phenomenal impact of this challenge with both the staff at the schools and the pupils. Follow up conversations and emails (including one you will see in the next prayer letter) indicated that many had been challenged, encouraged and some appeared to have responded to Christ.

So if you were praying, thank you for your support. Malvern schools week is a yearly date in the diary and we must continue to pray for a freshness each year for the team as they prepare to share God's amazing message with literally hundreds of young people across the Malvern area.

The Boot Camp arrives on DVD

If you have ever wanted to share you faith with your friends, family and neighbours here is the course to help. The Boot camp is a seven session course dealing with all aspects of sharing your faith.

The sessions are:

1. What is Evangelism
2. Communication and the Gospel
3. Telling your story Part 1
4. Telling your story Part 2
5. Handling objections and the objector Part 1
6. Handling objections and the objector Part 2
7. Leading a person to Christ.

CRE update

If you visited us at the Christian resources exhibition last week in Telford - Thank you! Over 4000 people visited teh exhibition and we were able to launch Ian's new book 100 Instand talks for every occassion and Mark's 7 session Boot camp on DVD. We also met many lovely people who were interested in our work. Please pray for those who took our information packs that they may be encouraged by our work and be interested in working with us.

New Book

Ian's new book '100 Instant talks for every Occasion' will be available from the beginning of March. For anyone attending the Christian Resources Exhibition at Telford later in February (21-23) we hope to have early copies for sale on our stand (E16)

Manchester

Ian has just returned from an excellent weekend in Manchester where he worked with Elmwood church as well as the Barnabus Trust. He spoke at a Men's breakfast as well as the normal Sunday services. He was also a guest on local radio.

Have you heard of Everyclick?

If you sign up to everyclick as a search engine you can financially support the Trust without actually costing you a penny. If you searchthrough them or shop online via them they donate an amount of money to the Trust.

All you need to do is go to www.everyclick.com sign up as a supporter, then look for 40-3 Trust and click you would like to start fundraising. From then on everytime you use everyclick you will be supporting the Trust.

A good start to 2008

Ian was joined by John Berry on a trip to South Shields to speak at a numbner of meetings during their Mission week. Over 30 people made a physical response to Christ during the week. please pray for those people who responded, but also for all those who attended meetings who may still be working through isssues in their mind.

Mark returned to the office, only to retreat again as he joined his colleagues at the Philo Trust retreat. A great time to reflect over the past year and set the scene for the coming year. He felt touched by God during the time and felt ready to face an exciting and busy 2008.

Happy New Year!

We thought 2008 should be the year that we started a Trust blog, so welcome.

Each week we will update you on life at the Forty Three Trust, what we are doing, how you can best pray for us and any exciting developments that might come along in between prayer letters.
